What moves the price
These are the factors that change a quote, without assuming the same order matters on every property.

| Factor | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Access and roof type | Whether the roof can be walked safely is the single biggest variable. A walkable single-story composition roof and a brittle two-story tile roof are different jobs at the same panel count. |
| Height | Two stories means more equipment, more setup and more time under fall-protection practice. |
| Condition | A light dust film and a year of bonded hard-water spotting with nesting underneath are not the same clean. |
| Volume | Panel count for rooftop; rows and row length for ground mounts. More modules costs more, but not proportionally. Setup is a fixed cost. |
| Bundling | Combining visits can avoid repeated setup; ask for the actual combined price. |
| Water and power | Whether there is a usable outdoor supply on site, particularly on ground mounts and commercial roofs. |

Why CA Solar Wash quotes from photos, not over the phone
A per-panel price given before anyone has seen the roof is a placeholder. It assumes walkable access, no nesting, no bonded mineral deposits and nothing unusual about the layout. When one of those assumptions fails, and on Valley roofs one of them regularly does, the price changes on the day. That is the moment you feel you were quoted a bait figure.
CA Solar Wash asks for three photographs and thirty seconds of description and gives you a number the team stands behind. If a company quotes your array over the phone without asking about roof type, stories or birds, notice it, whoever you end up hiring.
Send these and you get a real number
These details help establish whether a photo quote is sufficient or an inspection is needed.
- Property address, and whether it is single or two story.
- A photo of the array or the elevation, taken from the ground.
- Roof material: composition shingle, tile, metal, or a ground mount.
- Approximate panel count, or row count and length for ground mounts.
- Anything you have noticed: birds, white spotting, a drop in production, a previous poor job.
- Which services you want, and whether you want them in one visit.

Financing, payment plans and partial payments
Bird proofing and a full clean in one visit is a real spend, and you do not have to pay it in one hit. Financing is available. Payment plans and partial payments are accepted. Tell CA Solar Wash how you want to split it when you book and the terms go on the written quote alongside the price.
Every method below is accepted. Pick what suits you.

Judging a quote that is not ours
Get more than one. Compare the scope, not the total: whether nesting removal and cleanup is included before any mesh goes on, whether the mesh is fitted without roof penetration, whether downspouts are flow-tested or just the gutters emptied, whether the method on your panels is purified water or a pressure washer, and what the warranty actually covers and for how long.
A different total may reflect different access assumptions, included areas, products or reporting. Ask each contractor to identify those details before comparing. Request relevant license and insurance documents, and compare the written warranty rather than inferring quality from price alone.
What to check before accepting financing or a warranty
For financing, ask who provides it, whether approval is required, the payment schedule, interest or fees and the total repayable. A payment plan and third-party credit are different arrangements. No interest rate, approval guarantee or credit offer is stated on this page.
For the Workmanship Warranty, obtain the coverage, exclusions, coverage period, transfer terms and claim process. Ask whether materials, later roof work, storm damage and removal for solar repairs are covered. The name alone does not answer those questions.
